Maddox Rodgers has been unstoppable all season long for Rochester, and in a rescheduled game against Centralia on Monday night, he was a force again.

The senior broke the Rochester single-season rushing record, and he led the Warriors to a 56-21 victory.

Rodgers scored on Rochester’s first and second offensive plays to put the Warriors up 14-0 in an instant, and he went on to score a third and finish with 201 rushing yards.

That puts him over 2,000 rushing yards on the season, a mark that blows past the previous school record of 1,872.

Owen Simpkins added 84 yards and a touchdown, and Kaiser Tartios ran for 73 yards and a score.

Easton Singleton, Josh Long, and Easton Pratt also hit paydirt, and as a team, the Warriors finished with 437 yards on the ground.

For Centralia, Caden Erickson threw two passing touchdowns, one to Jeremy Frady and one to Alex Frias, as part of a 76-yard night through the air.

Bill Volavola scored Centralia’s other touchdown, and he also tallied 145 rushing yards on 17 carries.

Despite the original matchup being pushed from last Friday to Monday, both team’s Week 9 games are still set for this upcoming Friday, Oct. 30.

Rochester (8-0, 4-0 1A Evergreen) will travel to Elma, while Centralia (5-3, 1-3 1A Evergreen) will host Hoquiam.
