The Tenino volleyball team ended its regular season with a victory on Thursday, when the Beavers took down Montesano on the road 25-21, 22-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-5.
Katen Burkhardt led the way with 26 kills, 20 digs, three blocks, three aces, and an assist while going 21 for 23 at the service line, while Sequoia Zimmer added 27 assists, 17 digs, and five aces while missing just one of 25 service attempts.
Violet Zimmer finished the night with 14 digs, eight kills, five aces, and a block while going 20 for 22 at the line, and Peyton Songer tallied 18 digs and a kill while going 16 for 19.
Abigail Smith chipped in 10 assists, three digs, and a kill, and Kendall Bowe added six kills, two digs, and a block.
Kalli Knox added five digs while going 7 for 8 at the line, Brooklyn Livermore pitched in four kills and four blocks, and Kaytlin Holmes-Pickernell collected five digs while going a perfect 15 for 15 serving.
The Beavers finish their regular season 10-6 overall and 6-2 in league play, a mark good enough for the 1A Evergreen League’s No. 2 seed.
As the No. 2 seed, Tenino will face the Trico’s No. 3 seed in a district quarterfinal on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at Seton Catholic.
A win would have them playing in a semifinal at King’s Way Christian later that night, while a loss would have them playing in an elimination game at Seton Catholic later that night.
