The Black Hills girls soccer team picked up its third win in a row on Tuesday night, taking down Tumwater 3-1 at Tumwater District Stadium.

Marlie Voorhies, Ella McNair, and Hailey Maxham scored for the Wolves, who picked up their first league win over Tumwater since 2017, according to MaxPreps.

“Our goal tonight was to move as a pack, dominate on the ball, and keep it knit together,” Black Hills coach Jordan Owen said. “They did exactly that. I love how motivated, determined, and keyed-in with each other they are this season, and they definitely showed that off tonight.”

The Wolves (5-3-2) are now at 3-1 in EvCo play, a half-game back of first-place W.F. West.

Tumwater (3-7-1) has split its first four EvCo matches, topping Aberdeen and Centralia while falling to W.F. West and Black Hills.

Both teams will be at home on Thursday, when the Wolves host Centralia and the T-Birds welcome Shelton.
