Kenta Yumoto found the back of the net for the third time this season, but the South Puget Sound Community College men’s soccer team fell 2-1 to Clark College on Saturday, Oct. 17 at the Regional Athletic Complex.
Clark scored almost instantly as Mason Renner netted a goal two minutes and 21 seconds into the match. The Penguins extended their lead 13 minutes later, and Yumoto, assisted by Trey Fullmer, cut the lead to 2-1 in the 31st minute. But neither side connected on a shot for the final 59 minutes.
SPSCC dominated in terms of offensive production, with 25 shots to Clark’s six. Adrian Ochoa and Yumoto each had three shots on goal.
SPSCC (1-10-2, 1-8-2 NWAC) will look to snap a four-game skid on the road against Pierce College on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
